Large 12th Century Museum Key, Early Middle Ages, Good Condition 19.3cm

Documentation gives keys with this typology the name of Romane, 11th and 12th century.
Our large 19.3cm key clearly shows how the blacksmith made his keys, rounded ring on tip of anvil. Solid, fairly thick, rectangular section shank narrows and rounds towards the long tip. Rectangular bit is large, with 3 closed geometric shaped holes, including a cross, Beautiful collectible key!
Dimensions: 19.3cm x 5cm.
Good condition, as found, no rust, one can almost say: original condition with little wear, just brushed-waxed.
