Rare Portor marble fireplace, Liguria region (Genoa) in Italy, Louis XIV style, carved in the mid-19th century, in perfect condition. Its raised top follows the entire body of the fireplace, crossed by a generous torus at the periphery of the hearth, with corners in spandrels reserving a table, surrounded by a large richly molded frame softening at its bases on lateral scrolls. Its brass hearth narrowing and its black veined marble floor slab decorated with panels of red griotte marble from the Pyrenees cut at the corners in spandrels are original and in perfect condition. Its body length is 154 cm. The footprint is 156.3 cm for a total depth, fireplace plus floor slab, of 77 cm. The dimensions of its hearth are 62 cm wide and 62 cm high.
