The fork and spoon have trilobed spatulas, outlined with a fillet. They fold for easier transport.
The knife has two parallel blades, one in steel, the other in silver. It is magnificent with large plates covering almost the entire handle, enhanced by two small silver bolsters. The plate separating the two blades is finely crafted to add texture and a good grip.
Each piece is engraved with the ABE (?) numeral.
The cutlery comes in a small pouch separated into three compartments for each piece of this beautiful cutlery set.
The fork and spoon are hallmarked:
. Minerva, 1st grade before 1973 for 950/°° silver
. Silversmith's mark M Tallois with a crown. It's the same hallmark as Paul Tallois's, but with an m instead of a p. I haven't been able to identify it.
The knife is hallmarked:
. Minerva, 2nd grade for 800/°° silver.
. Silversmith's hallmark to identify: HV with a star.
Magnificent travel cutlery set, very complete with its knife. Folding cutlery sets made entirely of silver, which do not have handles made of filled silver or another material, are relatively rare. The knife is also of excellent craftsmanship and particularly valuable.
