René Besserve (1883-1959) was a French painter, illustrator, posterist and cartoonist, also known under the pseudonym Henry Reb. Born in Montbéliard, he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts de Montpellier and the Académie Julian in Paris. His work includes character compositions, interiors, nudes, landscapes and humorous political caricatures in a cubist style.
