Early 19th century, Restoration around 1820. Patinated bronze
architecture with very finely chiseled mercury-gilt bronze
ornamentation. Sculpture depicting Cupid, with gestures requesting
silence, holding his bow, a quiver rests at his feet, and a bee
gathering nectar from a flower. The façade features a chiseled
dial centered with flowers and outlined with a thick outline of fruit,
flanked by four corner pieces.
Original mechanism without modification, wire suspension, striking the
hours and half-hours on an antique bell.
