Located 8 km north of Pavia (Italy) and dating from the 14th century, it is the most important late Gothic monument in Italy. The Charterhouse occupied a special and original place on the edge of the Visconti Park to the north of the castle of Pavia, a park of which only a part remains today, the Vernavola park, to the north of Pavia, and which is no longer connected to either the castle or the Charterhouse.
