"Finely Carved Walnut Centre Chest, 16th Century Tuscany."
Important and rare center chest finely carved in numerous orders of perimeter carvings, at least ten of them, which follow one another, most of these carvings such as the coats of arms and the central frames are worked in high and low relief on the frame of the furniture. This important collector's piece was placed in the center of rich study tables and were used to protect jewels or other riches.
The upper opening top has a secret hidden door in the cuspidate part and therefore an additional storage space.
