"Early 18th Century Delft Faience: Small Bowl, Thousand Flowers Decor "
Lovely little bowl in Delft earthenware (apparently), from the early 18th century, covered with a floral decoration, in imitation of china. The shape of the piece, in melon rib is elegant, and the production extremely neat. The grain of the blueish white, perfectly imitates Chinese porcelain, to the point that it must be turned over to understand that it is not. On the bottom, marks are present, as well as pernettes on the ribs. Being a simple amateur in matters of earthenware, and aware of the difficulty of giving a certain provenance for atypical pieces, like this one, in the absence of identified models I welcome with pleasure and gratitude any additional information, or duly documented reattribution. Tiny chips, otherwise excellent condition.
