"Line Galvanometer"
Signed "A. GAIFFE A PARIS", circa 1880, brass, magnet, protective glass on mahogany base. Line galvanometer, with moving magnet, for determining the direction of flow of a current and the value of its intensity. Model contained in a circular brass case, "division in ten milliamps": graduation from 0 to 100 milliamps with a central 0. The assembly is fixed on a circular wooden base, mounted on three leveling screws, and supporting two brass terminals. Signed on the back with the intertwined initials of "AG" for Ladislas Adolphe Gaiffe (1830-1903) and the n°77753. Nice model of a physics laboratory for didactic demonstration.
