Charm and mischief for this oil on canvas signed E.Wuger. The cherub to whom the dog is celebrating, is in a wicker pram with wooden wheels. In the background, a landscape, whose quality of execution reminds us that Wuger was also a good flower painter. Oil on canvas signed by the Austro-Hungarian artist Eduard Wuger (1830-1880). Wuger worked in Vienna in the mid-19th century and is listed in the "Lexicon of Austrian Painters" by Prof. H.Fuchs, Vienna, 1975. Beautiful period frame in wood and gilded stuck.
