Large drawing depicting Apollo on his chariot, pulled by three horses. The god appears to emerge from a cloud, with four putti carrying urns from which they pour the contents are arranged diagonally on the right. A woman, her chest bare, appears to be conversing with an angel on the left of the drawing. She rests her right elbow on a lion. This may be the nymph Cyrene, who fought a lion that threatened her father's herds. Two cherub heads blow on the clouds. A very beautiful V-shaped composition with Apollo at the top, surrounded by sketches of rays. Brown ink over graphite lines. The sheet has a vertical mark on the right: a fold, or a sheet joined to enlarge the drawing. Italy, 17th century. Good condition.
