Beautiful academy of a nude man, in profile, turned to the left, seated, both arms folded behind his head. A quality study, the model's musculature is well described, the proportions very well rendered, harmonious composition. The red chalk on blue paper gives a lot of relief to the study. A water stain crosses the drawing from the right arm, diagonally almost to the bottom of the sheet, without hindering reading. Mention on the back of the drawing: Henriette de Mausnoy, it seems. Dated 1796. France.
