"Drawing By Pietro Palmieri. Italy 18th Century."
Pen and brown wash drawing depicting a pastoral scene animated by characters and animals in the middle of the mountains. Painter born in Bologna in 1737 and died in Turin in 1804, famous for these animated landscapes and present in several museums and large galleries. Note on this drawing a tear at the top left and another, smaller, at the top right. Provenance: former collection of the Annecy painter Jean Stellio (1883-1982). Some visible foxing. The white dots are due to the light. Dimensions of the drawing: 30 by 49 cm.
