Serge Creuz
Born on May 4, 1924 in Molenbeek, he was part of the Jeune Peinture Belge from 1946, an association whose aim was to "serve living Belgian art, without prejudice to school or trend" by promoting young painters. From 1965 to 1989, he was in charge of the scenography workshop at the École des Arts visuels supérieure de La Cambre. In addition, he collaborated with the newspaper Pourquoi Pas for which he produced some 10,000 drawings. In addition, alongside his career as a painter, he created more than a hundred scenographies for the biggest theatres in the country, the Rideau de Bruxelles, the Théâtre National de Belgique, the Théâtre Royal du Parc, the Opéra Royal de Wallonie, the Théâtre de Poche, as well as for several French theatres, the Centre Dramatique de l'Ouest (Rennes) and the Comédie de l'Est (Strasbourg)...
