Important Neoclassical mirror with parcloses, from the late 18th century, made of richly carved wood, gilded and silver-plated.
The inner frame features a leaf and dart frieze, while the outer frame is adorned with a Greek frieze; these bands are linked by daisiy motifs. The mirror features intricate openwork ornamentation with floral C-shaped curves, and branches of laurel springing from a cornucopia.
The pediment is crowned with a vase of flowers, from which chains of pearls extend.
This mirror could be accompanied by the patinated and gilded console of the same style presented in our gallery (see photo)."
