"Antique Orrery – Tellure De Paravia, Turin (1900, Italy)"
Rare and collectible orrery (tellurium) produced by the renowned Italian maker Paravia, Turin in 1900. This finely crafted planetary model illustrates the Earth-Sun-Moon system, demonstrating their relative motions and orbital mechanics. The mechanism is made of metal components, with a hand-painted globe mounted on a solid base. This type of teaching instrument was commonly used in schools and observatories to teach astronomy and celestial mechanics in the early 20th century.
