This oil on panel showing a view of the Wiesshornet from the Zermatt glacier is signed by the painter Clément Castellien at the bottom left of the panel and located on the back, with the studio stamp. Born in Italy and died in Paris (the studio was located on rue du Faubourg du Temple) Clément Castelli was renowned as a mountain painter, and became the director of the "Societé des Peintres de Montagne" from 1929 to 1958. His paintings are present in the town of Domossola in Italy, at the Musée d'Orsay and at the Louvre Museum. Dimensions of the panel HT: 35 cm width 27 cm Original wooden frame.
