"16th Century Wrought Iron Box "
Wrought iron box with a slightly domed lid and iron bands with a top handle, hasp lock. Apparently a messenger box to be put in a satchel since this model does not have a belt loop. The key and metal angle on the left inside of the lid are later. France, 16th century.
