"Set Of Four Bronze Bushels By Denière & Matelain, Empire Period 1801-1804"
Set of four bronze bushels signed on the base by Denière and Matelain, this Parisian house supplied bronze capacity standards for liquids in the period 1800-1804. A hollow stamp representing a bee on the upper part of the bushels confirms the date of the objects. The chest is also original as are the cases to protect them. This type of bushel is extremely rare on the market. The contents are from largest to smallest: 1/8 hectoliter, 1/16 hectoliter, 1/2 liter; 1/4 liter.
