"Rare Pair Of Pewter Ewers - Besançon, 18th Century"

Very rare pair of pewter EWERS with flared horizontal groove, molded pedestal and C-shaped handle with draped crook and molded pouring spout. They are decorated with a central horizontal rod.
Hallmarking affixed to the bases of the pedestals :
1°- Control mark with the city's coat of arms: eagle with columns / (CO)MM(VN).
2°- Incompletely affixed master's mark: crowned hammer / .C.(-).(-).
3°- Incompletely affixed mark of Claude 1st GONELLE received master in 1737: crowned hammer / C.A.G.
4°- Control mark with the city's coat of arms: eagle with columns. Stamped property mark: I.B.V
Height: 22 cm.
Besançon, Mid-18th century.

In very good condition, however, a repair to the pouring spouts is noted
