17th Century - Venetian Casket In Walnut Veneer And Ebony

Extraordinary Venetian chest from the mid-17th century, in walnut veneer with ebony threads and forged iron decorations. The object, which features extraordinary grain and colors in the wood, complemented by forged iron inserts, incredibly retains its original internal lining in silk embroidered with silver threads, which is also in excellent condition. The forged feet are original, as is the lock, while the hinges were replaced in the 19th century. It has its original forged iron handle. An exceptional and unique object, considering the state of conservation of the original interior. Precious but not excessive, the refinement of this object is made even more accentuated by the walnut veneer that gives a rustic touch to the overflowing value of the object.
