Small Louis XIII Style Chest In Walnut, Diamond Point Decor And Ball Feet.

Pretty little Louis XIII style chest in solid walnut. It rests on two rectangular rear legs and two ball-shaped front legs, topped with a large molding. The front is composed of two panels decorated with thick diamond points in the form of lozenges in the center and triangles in the corners. Our two panels are separated by a molded vertical crosspiece. The two sides are also worked with geometric figures obtained by grooving work. The front and sides are decorated in the upper part with a molding eg forming an inverted V in the center. This chest is topped with a tray opening with two hinges. This is a beautiful manufacture from the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century. Our piece of furniture is in very good condition.
