Small Mahogany Chest Of Drawers, Return From Egypt Style – Part 1 Of The 20th Century

This small "all-sided" chest of drawers in solid mahogany and mahogany veneer opens in the belt, with a drawer fitted with notches underneath to facilitate the pull. Set back, two other identical drawers are each fitted with two chiseled brass bowl knobs. The front uprights are dressed with bronze caryatids supported by pilasters, sheathed in width and thickness, ending in small pairs of feet also in bronze. The rear uprights are straight. The whole rests on a massive and concave base at the front ending in four slightly rounded overhanging plates. The top is made up of a single board chamfered underneath to give it finesse.
