Solid silver sculpture of Christ at the Column, Roman goldsmith, 18th century. On an 18th-century carved marble base.

The iconography of Christ is inspired by a model by Alessandro Algardi (Bologna 1598 - Rome 1654) designed in the 1630s and reproduced in various ways by the artist, either in a group, such as the bronze Flagellation in the Hofmuseum in Vienna (a replica is in the Palazzo Corsini in Florence), or as a single element, such as the silver Christ at the Column in the National Gallery in Washington.

The Christ is finely crafted, the silver is in its original patina (it can be cleaned at the client's discretion).
