These two large silver-plated coolers have a lining, they rest on a small molded pedestal and the contoured rim is decorated with a net, on each side a shell-shaped grip allows them to be held in the hand. In good general condition they show some signs of wear which gives them a very beautiful patina. They are marked on the reverse in full Christofle and bear a hallmark composed of a scale, a bee between the trays, surmounted by four stars, below are two branches, and on each side the letters CC, this hallmark was used from 1834 to 1935. The Christofle silversmith house was founded in 1830 by Charles Christofle. Christofle supplied, among others, King Louis-Philippe, Emperor Napoleon III and the Tsar of Russia. Its reputation is international. It produces tableware, decoration and jewelry. A few tiny shocks are to be noted. Height 23 cm, diameter 21.5 cm and width at the ears 28 cm.
