Large reliquary basket with its female guardian statue, Lumbu Gabon. Height 70 cm, good condition, with wear. Remains of white pigments and laundry blue in places. The eyes are made of glass protected by copper rims. The basket has horns and a rating on the top. It comes from a collection in the Gard and was bought in the 80s from a former Toulouse university student who brought it back from Gabon, an old label is still present with the words: Reliquary Lumbo, woman in village chief.
