"17th Pair Of Tuscan Large Bronze Candlesticks Dated 1644"
Rare pair of large bronze candlesticks bearing the engraved inscription: Sebas.us Brandius 1644 (Sebastiano Brandi 1644). These are the so-called "rocchetto" models, produced in Tuscany between the mid-16th and mid-17th centuries.
The rarity of this model depends both on the fact that they are two authentic 17th-century models and not later copies, furthermore stamped and dated, and on their extraordinary size, which once assembled reaches 64 cm in height.
Beautiful original patina, small signs of wear.
