We are delighted to offer for sale this magnificent pair of Napoleon III papier-mâché and ebony chairs. The chairs have fabulous mother-of-pearl inlays on the backs. These are original antiques that will add elegance and charm to any room. The chairs have a floral upholstered seat with no rips or tears. This pair of occasional chairs depicts a fabulous story from years gone by. The ebony frame is in good condition with some minor marks, which only add to the character of this piece. Made in France in the mid-1800s, the chairs require no assembly and measure 45cm in length, 40cm in depth and 80cm in height. They are perfect for anyone looking for a touch of historic charm to add to their home or commercial setting. Condition Report: Good condition consistent with age and use. The majority of our stock will be shipped from there. For smaller items weighing less than 20 kg and measuring 180 cm (W + H x 2), this corresponds to a box of approximately 50 x 30 x 40 cm. Delivery 7-14 days depending on your location. You may be subject to customs charges for your parcel which will be payable upon delivery of your item. UK & EU Large Items These items will be shipped with our own transport partners who operate between the UK, France, and Spain. We aim to send these items within 2-4 weeks. We can ship to other EU countries, but delivery times may vary. Please contact us for a shipping quote. Large Items - Overseas Shipping. We will need your full address to obtain a true shipping cost from our freight forwarding partners. Once all costs are agreed, we will arrange packing and crating if necessary. The shipment will then be delivered to our freight forwarding partners in the UK and booked for the next sailing. Sailings can take between 2-4 weeks depending on your destination. If you do not have a customs broker to arrange customs taxes (you may be liable for taxes on your purchase) and paperwork, our shipping partners can help. These overseas deliveries can take between 4-8 weeks. Insurance. For any shipment for which you have paid additional insurance, in the unfortunate event of damage during transit. All damages must be reported to the final destination carrier and to us immediately so that we can initiate the claims process. Returns In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 3 days of receiving your purchase to arrange a return and refund. Returns must be in the original packaging as received. Items must be returned in "as sold" condition. The buyer must notify the relevant shipping company that this is a return and cover all costs.
