Eugène Marioton (1854-1933), French sculptor, medalist and engraver
The Siot-Decauville foundry is an art foundry active in Paris at the end of the 19th century until the beginning of the 20th century. The Siot-Decauville signature was used between 1865 and 1888.

Brother of sculptor Claudius Marioton and painter Jean Alfred Marioton, Eugène Marioton trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and entered the 1883 sketch competition with “La Fille de Jephté”. He won 1st prize in the Société libre des beaux-arts competition with his marble bas-relief “Héro et Léandre”. He subsequently participated regularly in the Salon de la Société des artistes français, becoming a member of the jury in 1905 in the sculpture section. He died in 1933.
