"Pair Of Antique Crystal And Silver-plated Bronze Vases – Eclectic Style, Late 19th – Early 20th Century "
Superb pair of antique vases in finely engraved crystal, adorned with a gilt and enameled bronze mount. Each vase rests on a sculptural base representing three silvered bronze angels, a characteristic motif of the Neo-Baroque or Neo-Rococo style, very fashionable in Europe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This type of object, often associated with the Viennese bronze workshops or French manufactures of the period, was prized as a refined decorative element in aristocratic and bourgeois interiors. Condition: • One of the vases has visible chips on the upper rim (see photo). • The other vase is in good condition. • The gilt bronze mount and the silvered bronze base are well preserved with a beautiful period patina. Ideal object for collectors or lovers of decorative arts. Do not hesitate to contact me for more information or additional photos.
