Barrel with eight sides, then round; dated 1818 and stamped DT on the left side. The right side bears the hallmark of Inspector Louis Nottret: N in an oval.
Flintlock lock for the An XIII pistol; signed Mre Royale de Versailles and hallmarked G under star by the reviser Augustin Germain. It is stamped SP on the inside.
Trigger guard with underguard. Brass fittings with D or H hallmarks for Jean-Baptiste Deschaseaux, controller first class, and Jean-Baptiste Hardy, controller second class. Iron clappers.
Walnut frame with long shaft.
Iron rod with nail head; hallmarked.
An aluminum disc is attached to the trigger guard, bearing the collection number T108.
An IX bayonet with socket, reduced size, military school model; middle edge and ferrule. Marked RR. L.T.: 37.5cm
This light rifle was only made by the Versailles factory, which produced 201 in 1817 and 200 in 1818, the last production before the factory closed.
Very good condition. Rare, as is its bayonet.
