"Art Deco Carved Wooden Fruit Bowl"
Amazing fruit basket, carved from a single piece of wood, decorated with opulent bunches of grapes. A small accident at the end of a leaf shows that it is a light and clear wood, later stained walnut color. On the back, it is signed Michel, this sculptor seems to have made other similar objects with different fruits, notably apples. We are clearly in the 20s, fruit decorations were often used. We can easily imagine the bowl loaded with real grapes, or others, it will have a lot of charm.
