E. Gonzalez (Spain circa 1880): “The Washerwomen”, oil on panel 14.5 X 23.8 cm, slightly tiled, mounted in a gilded frame 20 X 30 cm (small accidents). This charming scene showing washerwomen washing clothes in the river in the early morning under a sky tinged with pink, and then putting them out to dry on the bank is treated with small suggestive touches.
