Polychrome painted beech box decorated with flowers, flower vase and birds. Rare with a flat lid for this format.
The style of the decoration indicates the provenance of the DEBAS family (1820 - 1938), produced between 1820 and 1850.
This box did not originally have a lock, the one present as well as the brass ring, were added later like the paper which covers the interior.
Original wire hinges.
Small lacks of use of the paint.
Good condition.
