"Miniature On Ivory, Copy Of A Bouquet Of Flowers, Painted By Jacob Van Hulsdonck, 1582-1647."
Very pretty miniature on ivory, made at the end of the 19th or the beginning of the 20th century, after the Flemish master Jacob van Hulsdonck. He specialized in the representation of still lifes based on fruits, but also in the creation of superb bouquets composed of roses, tulips and other flowers. Our bouquet presents a rose, two tulips, a fritillary, blue daffodils (?)), foliage and butterflies. The quality of the miniature is impressive, the details are very advanced, and of great finesse. The flowers are presented in a large Flemish glass, a pokal. This miniature was made by Mathilde Touchelli Santanelli.
