"Zwiller Augustin - Reverie By The Pond "
Treated in the spirit of the works of Jean Jacques Henner, of whom Zwiller was an unconditional admirer, this beautiful oil on canvas of a large format, integrates as a background, an Alsace landscape, ideal with these contrasts provided by the darkness of the forests and the pale blue reflections of the sky in the ponds. The objective of the artist's work is the rendering of light on the different tones of the flesh in complement to the sensations of tranquility released by this evening atmosphere.
