"Siegel Paris Showcase Counter"
Rare, 1950s commercial display counter, in oak, glass and leather, stamped Siegel Paris. It is a true testament to the craftsmanship of the Siegel Paris house, founded at the end of the 19th century, which is an iconic name in the creation and manufacture of high-end commercial furniture, such as counters, display cases and displays. This display counter, formerly used in a haberdashery, is double-sided. It is composed as follows: The top is half in glass and the other half in anthracite gray leather. On the left side: a glass display case, upholstered in beige leather, with a height-adjustable glass shelf. It is accessible by two sliding oak doors. In the middle: three open wooden shelves. On the right side: three drawers, which slide perfectly, with original brass handles. The first locks and is divided into two parts. This display counter has been carefully cleaned and the varnish on its oak structure has been polished with linseed oil. The leather of the top has been renovated and re-dyed in anthracite gray.
