"Oak Trade Furniture"
Large oak craft furniture, completely renovated, with cupboard and hinged compartments.Origin: this craft furniture was made by a cabinetmaker at the end of the 1940s. It was used for a long time as a storage unit, particularly for administrative files, in a family home.Materials: oak (veneer) and metal door knobs and flaps.Characteristics: this large craft furniture is atypical in its construction and benefits from a large storage capacity. It is composed on the left side of a full-height cupboard with 4 shelves that can be removed, but whose height is not adjustable. On the right side, it has two columns of 10 hinged compartments.Renovation: the craft furniture was completely washed and carefully sanded (including the shelves and the inside of the compartments) to remove its brown varnish, then it was protected with a colorless wax to preserve its natural appearance as much as possible. It has also been treated against wood-eating insects, which have left some small discreet traces on some flaps. Finally, the buttons and label holders have all been cleaned. Condition: this piece of trade furniture is in wonderful condition, solid, stable and very heavy. The cupboard door locks and the flaps are all functional. There are small losses of veneer on the bottom of the cupboard door and some flaps, and traces of its former life inside the lockers. Dimensions: L151 (148 without the cornice) x D51 (49 without the cornice) x H200. Cupboard: L61 x D44 x H187. Spacing between shelves from top to bottom: 39-54.5-25.5-25-35.5. Lockers (20): L38 x D49 x H17. Majestic in its size, charming in its patina of time, original in its shape, this large piece of professional furniture will certainly be a centerpiece in your interior decoration.
