"Porcelain Group Meissen XIX Century Allegory Of Painting"
Porcelain group from the Meissen manufacture depicting the allegory of painting. Three putti divide the tasks, one paints the other in front of him, holding the palette and the third looks from behind and holds a folder in his hand.
The wavy base is decorated with festoons of oak leaves.
Dating back to the mid-19th century, the original model is by Michel Victor Acier datable to 1774

It has some small restorations, one of the wings of the putto on the right, a little finger of the putto's foot in the centre and the tip of the brush.
