Lucien Gilbert Darpy (1875-1964) was a pupil of Géry- Bichard and Nel-Duchel.
He regularly exhibited at the ‘Salon des Artistes Français’ and became a member in 1897.
The oil painting is clothed in a lacquered wooden frame, called Montparnasse.
The oil painting and the frame are carefully and professionally restored.
