Pair of Ibeji, Yoruba statuettes representing a couple. Nigeria late 19th early 20th century. Wood with brown patina, blue pigmented headdresses. Yoruba statuettes are often used on altars to represent deified ancestors or divinities, playing an important role in the spiritual practice of the Yoruba ethnic group.
