18th century oil painting depicting the portrait of Marcus Antonius Zondadari, Grand Master of the Order of Malta. Marc'Antonio was born in Siena into the noble Zondadari family on November 26, 1658 and his mother was Agnese Chigi. He studied in Parma with the Jesuits and, later, in Naples. He is destined to make a career in the Order of Malta, and so he will. His election to the office of Grand Master of the Order on January 13, 1720. The painting has been cleaned in our laboratory and does not require further interventionsmeasurements width 97
