Pewter Dish - Douai, 18th Century

Round pewter dish with a molded edge.
Very rare hallmark of Benoît Joseph DURIEZ received as master in 1756: crowned rose charged with a D / BID (the first D is the initial of DOUAI)
Control hallmark: double crowned palm.
Diameter: 35.1 cm
DOUAI, Before the revolutionary period.

In good condition and medium patina.
An area of pitting is indicated on the reverse and visible in the photographs.
