Large Pair Of Empire Period Candlesticks.

Object description :

"Large Pair Of Empire Period Candlesticks."
Beautiful pair of finely chiseled gilt bronze candlesticks from the very beginning of the 19th century.
From a plain quiver-shaped stem with claw feet, resting on a base with a diamond frieze, stands a vase chiseled with acanthus leaves forming the socket.
The latter sports a large cup with vine branches.

These candlesticks, of fine quality chiseling, are each composed of eight elements. The removable cups.
Work to be compared to the works of the bronze makers Claude Galle or André Antoine Ravrio.

Beautiful condition, with its beautiful original gilding.

Empire period, circa 1800-1810.
