Bronze sculpture representing David the victor leaning on his sword, at his feet the head of the giant Goliath, signed on the terrace Henri Plé. Titled on a cartridge David the victor, Salon des Beaux Arts. Stamp of the Société des Bronzes de Paris Plé Henri Honoré Born on March 2, 1853 and died on January 31, 1922 in Paris, he was a French sculptor. A student of Mathurin Moreau, Henri Honoré Plé exhibited at the Salon from 1877 where he won an honorable mention in 1879. A member of the Society of French Artists, he was part of the Art Nouveau movement and received a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900.
