Nimcha saber - Maghreb, Algeria, 18th century Horn handle with ivory or bone inlays (missing a roundel on one side). Chiseled bronze guard. Very slightly curved blade imported from Europe. Stars, a dexterous hand, a crescent moon and an anthropomorphic sun are engraved on both sides. Wooden scabbard encircled with leather and elements in brass sheets worked in repoussé. Construction similar to the scabbard of the flissa sabers. The guard has a slight play. Cracks in the wood of the scabbard and accidents to the brass. Scabbard in average condition but remains solid.
