Strolling in the heart of the marvelous Jardins de la Fontaine in Nîmes in the shade of century-old lime trees. In the center, two friends under their blue umbrellas walk a small dog; on the right an overhanging terrace and customers seated in the sun, a group of children playing on the stone steps. Our artist has captured the beautiful brightness of a sunny day. A beautiful bird's eye view of the pools bordered by balusters and two swans. A very beautiful palette of bright and vivid colors, typical of the brush of this great, talented and prolific painter. A great colorist! Signed and located "Nîmes" lower right. A small original label marked "Nîmes" is stuck on the frame, as our artist was used to. Keyed frame and original canvas.
