This beautiful oil on wood (oak panel) is unsigned. It has a missing piece to be restored, visible at the bottom left. The rest of the painting is in very good condition. This romantic alpine landscape, with a mill, sailboats and castles in the distance, is animated by figures on each side of the lake. A typical painting of the 19th century Swiss school, circa 1860.
