Trumeau Vénitien En Ronce De Noyer – XVIIIe Siècle

Object description :

"Trumeau Vénitien En Ronce De Noyer – XVIIIe Siècle"
This refined Venetian trumeau stands out for its distinctive dimensions: width 83 cm, depth 56 cm, and height 239 cm. The lower section features an elegantly curved front, entirely covered in walnut burl with symmetrical grain patterns that enhance the natural beauty of the wood. The straight sides are adorned with walnut veneer arranged in a herringbone pattern, adding harmony and refinement to the piece.
The finely shaped writing flap conceals a compartment with various storage spaces and secret drawers, including three perfectly preserved hidden drawers, a hallmark of 18th-century craftsmanship.
The upper section is distinguished by an impressive sculpted pediment, richly decorated with gilded carvings. The central door is adorned with its original mercury mirror, slightly chipped but still capable of reflecting authentic and captivating light effects. Gilded bronze decorative elements, such as the handles and side ornaments, further enhance the elegance of this masterpiece.
A truly exceptional piece that combines functionality and elegance, perfect for those who appreciate noble furniture with a rich history.
