Superb sherbet spoon - Ottoman Empire, Turkey 19th century Sherbet is the Ottoman specialty that gave its name to sorbet in French. Handle made of two polished agate stones and chiseled and embossed silver sheet elements. Tortoiseshell spoon. Missing a small silver attachment point on the back of the spoon at the junction of the silver element and the shell (visible in the last photo). Length 14cm Weight 38gr
